Hello party people- I hope all is well on your side! This week we start off with the king of pop himself- Michael Jackson. This is unfortunately a posthumous album, and is such an emotional release for many MJ fans. With some singles already on the charts, this album is slated to be his fastest selling release in 20 years. Rest in Peace Mike!
We have some ladies kicking up dust this week! Keri Hilson’s sophomore album No Boys Allowed came out swinging with her first single-Pretty Girl Rock, which charted in the R&B Top 20. Keyshia Cole’s fourth album Calling All Hearts has been building a lot of buzz in the blog circuit. Filled with guest appearances including- Niki Minaj, Faith Evans and Timbaland, it’s guaranteed to get a few spins around town. Ke$ha has her latest hit on our network, and it has been tearing up every chart around. We Are Who We Are is driving her fans wild, and who are to deny the people what they want!
In Rock we have the latest single from R.E.M. titled It Happened Today. This is the first single off of their upcoming fifteenth album Collapse into Now! North Carolina’s Paper Tongues has some festive “tis the season” music with their new single Carol Of The Bells. Daft Punk gives us their latest body of work for the blockbuster movie TRON. And the Rockabilly legends Mad Sin has a new album to go wild to called Burn and Rise.
Hip Hop has some veterans blessing the stage this week. Wutang’s Ghostface Killah has his new album hitting stores today and he has all the blogs going crazy for it. This is one of those cases where a well known artist’s promotions are solely based on his fans. There have been endless postings about his new album, so let’s see what the hype is all about. And Sheek Louch releases his fifth solo album Donnie G: Don Gorilla- which wins this weeks strangest looking album cover.
