Summer fun

First up, we have what is being dubbed as one of the “great albums of 2011” withAWOLNATION and their debut album Megalithic Symphony. This debut features a mish-mash of styles, which makes them hard to categorize them in one specific genre. While currently at number 6 on Billboards Top Heatseekers, AWOLNATION has been a mainstay on that chart and should be on there for awhile. Next, Incubus returns five years after their last album to release If Not Now, When? I guess it’s the right time for them. Reaching as far as number 2 on Billboards Top 200, Incubus finds themselves doing something “different, but unique” with If Not Now, When? Puddle of Mudd release their newest singleGimme Shelter which is their version of The Rolling Stones classic song. This is the first single from their upcoming album where they pay tribute to classic artists that turned them on to becoming musicians themselves.
Heavy Metal-ers Anthrax unleashes some music that matches the title of the song withFight ‘Em ‘Til You Can’t. This is the first new music from Anthrax in over eight years and they are also celebrating their 30th anniversary of releases.
The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band goes back to their roots and dares you to watch How I Go. After experiencing with a different style last time out fans stayed away, but fans are back with How I Go debuting at 23 on iTunes album chart. How I Go also features covers of the BeatlesYer Blues, the Albert King standard Oh Pretty Woman, and Bessie Smith'sBack Water Blues. Legendary John Hiatt releases his 20th album with Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns and so far it’s receiving rave reviews. On this album John Hiatt proves again that he’s a gifted story teller with rough-edged songs (Damn This Town) and love songs (Don’t Wanna Leave You Now).
After having a highly successful year in 2010, Drake tries to keep that momentum going with his newest single Marvin’s Room. Currently at #10 on iTunes Top 100 songs, Marvin’s Room is not the official single, but it shows that Drake might be here to stay. Down south,Young Jeezy drops off his latest single Shake Life, for the masses from his long awaited album. Fans are loving the new jam, and Jeezy might just have a hit single with this Shake Life.
R&B songstress Monica enlists Rick Ross for her latest single as they will do Anything (To Find You). On the track, Monica takes listeners back to the glory days of R&B that will sure to be on DJ’s playlists everywhere.
After becoming an overnight sensation for his rendition of Lady GaGa’s Paparazzi, 14 year old Greyson Chance tries to continue that popularity with his debut album Hold On ‘Til Tonight. Already being at number 7 on iTunes album chart is sure to help with that success.
