New Music Releases

Hello and welcome to the new music release!
Seven months after winning two of Grammys biggest awards, Lady Antebellum returns with their third album titled Own The Night. The lead off single Just A Kiss quickly became a Top 10 hit on Billboard and Own The Night is sure to follow suit as it is at number one on iTunes Top 100 albums chart. Next in country, Miranda Lambert takes her star power and formed the group Pistol Annies and bring to the masses their debut album Hell On Heels. From what the critics are saying, this group brings a “sassiness and spark” that fits their name and album title to a tee. Hell On Heels is currently at number five on Billboards Country chart.
Returning to a heavier sound that was dominate on earlier albums, Staind brings forth their seventh self-titled album. After releasing a country solo album, front man Aaron Lewis is wants to show people he’s “not a wimp” and this album is definitely a step in the right direction. Waiting long for Primus? Well wait no longer, 11 years after their last releasePrimus returns with Green Naugahyde (means artificial leather). And it looks like fans have not forgot about them as they have debuted at 12 on iTunes chart and that’s without an official single.
Legendary rocker Alice Cooper follows up his debut solo album with its sequel titledWelcome 2 My Nightmare. While he may be 63 years old, Alice Cooper is showing no signs of slowing down and Welcome 2 My Nightmare is already receiving rave reviews. There is even a feature on it from Ke$ha on What Baby Wants.
Heavy metal band Anthrax had fans waiting patiently for two years after many push backs of the group’s 10th studio album Worship Music, but it is finally here. And they have delivered for us one of their best albums yet. After rising to great fame in the last five years, The Devil Wears Prada (the band, not the film or book), look to continue their quest in Dead Throne. They might have reached it as Dead Throne sits atop iTunes chart at #4. Get ready for a neck brace because you’ll need it after listening to these to bands.
Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse get together for a duet with the song Body And Soul. The track was recorded in March of 2011, and was Amy Whinehouse’s last song. Wednesday September 14th marks what would have been Amy’s 28th birthday. Ben Folds Five reunites for their first new song as a trio in over ten years with House. This will be the first of brand new Ben Folds Five songs they plan to release in the upcoming months.
Lastly, New Orleans own Trombone Shorty releases his newest album For True. On For TrueTrombone Shorty is joined by some high profile guests, such as Kid Rock on Mrs. OrleansLenny Kravitz on Roses, and Jeff Beck on Do To Me. After having a Grammy-nominated album last year, Mr. Shorty is hoping for another big profile album with For True.
