New releases
Start your…umm fingers!?! This week we have an exclusive release of rock band Rev Theory’s upcoming album Justice. Be first to hear the album in full before anyone else. With few slow songs, this album is sure to get the blood flowing. If you aren’t familiar withRev Theory, now is your chance...you’ll definitely want to spread the word.
We also have the single Discoverer from legendary band R.E.M. The song is a rock anthem where Michael Stipe sings about life’s realizations and motivations. Maybe they found themselves. Canadian rockers Sum 41 bless us with their new single Screaming Bloody Murder. This song is said to “show great promise for the band” and has been well received by critics and fans alike. Looks like Sum 41 has returned to form.
Pop diva Stevie Nicks readies her first release in ten years with the single Secret Love. The song is true to Stevie Nicks signature sound and “already feels like and instant classic”. Fans are loving it. Bruno Mars gives us the EP of his single The Grenade Sessions. This EP has the original single, which is blowing up the charts, accompanied by a number of variations to please all fans. Next, we have the self-titled album from indie pop group La Sera. Lead singer Katy Goodman (of the group Vivian Girls) decides to go off on her own and delivers a solid debut album. Standout tracks include Never Come Aroundand Devils Hearts Grow Old.
American Idol season 9 winner Lee DeWyze brings us his debut Live It Up. Reaching as high as 19 on Billboard charts, songs like Me And My Jealousy and A Song About Loveshow that Lee DeWyze has a future on the radio. Also, punk rock girl Pink releases herGreatest Hits…So Far!!! The album celebrates her first decade in the music world with biggest hits from all her albums. Three new tracks are also featured with the lead single being Raise Your Glass. Here’s a toast to you Pink!!
In Hip-hop, we have the next single from Hip-hop sensation Wiz Khalifa titled Roll Up. On this track Wiz changes up his usual style and makes a song for the ladies that will sure to be blazing the Billboard charts soon. Next, The Lonely Island crew are at it again with their hilarious antics releasing The Creep, no explanation needed here, it is what you think it is. The song features Nicki Minaj and was released with a video on Saturday Night Live.
Lastly, we have Teddy Thompson’s Bella. On this album Teddy Thompson goes through details about the pursuit of a beautiful woman. One writer points out that Teddy’s superb songwriting ability is once again evident on this album.
