New Updates

For our featured album, we have electronic band Metronomy bringing us their third albumThe English Riviera. The album, as one writer put it, is “confidently executed indie-pop album dominated by conventional, streamlined music.” Well that sounds good, but how’s this? “The best pop albums don't stand on ceremony to this extent.” Whoa!! Deep!! Owl City brings us their second single Galaxies from their upcoming album and fans are already raving about this one. Making a big splash on the radio, The Ready Set releases Young Forever. The song is dance-pop at its best and is sure to get people on the dance floor wanting to toss their age away.
Sibling duo, The Belle Brigade comes on to the music scene with the release of their self-titled album. The album is said to be a “sparkling” 11-song set about common themes and features an ear-pleasing quality of their vocals vibrating perfectly together. The best song is said to be Losers, so check for that. The Republic Tigers return with an EP titled No Land's Man. Not straying from what has worked before, The Republic Tigers classic song-craft remains at the forefront and is highlighted with the euphoric single, Merrymake It With Me.
Ray J (mostly known for ventures in entertainment besides his music) gives us Turnin’ Me On…yup, that’s the title. This track is a head nodder and will get anybody hyped up on the dance floor. Across the pond, rapper Plan B drops off his sophomore album The Defamation of Strickland Banks. For this album Plan B showcases more of his singing ability and is a first-hand perspective of a fictional character. The album has received rave reviews from just about every critic out there.
Punk band Simple Plan returns after a two year hiatus by releasing Can’t Keep My Hands Off You. Though not the official single, it’s still new music. Featuring Weezer front-manRivers Cuomo the song is very…bubblegummy.
Rockers Manchester Orchestra release a single appropriate for this month titled April Fool(yes it is). The song is must be making peoples keyboards explode because the only thing they say about it is “listen to it” it’s got to be that good.
The Joker returns again…Legendary group The Steve Miller Band bring us a full album of blues standards titled Let Your Hair Down. The album packs a punch with inventive arrangements and even has R&B Singer Sonny Charles splitting vocal duties. Need I say more? Ok. It’s The. Steve. Miller. Band.
